Through its educational programs and activities, the Museum engages students, educators, individuals and families, teaching that they are part of the fabric of the community, critical to its growth, and inspiring all visitors to reflect on the complex issues that shaped the past, remain critical today, and inform a sustainable future.
The Museum utilizes culturally relevant pedagogy as a framework to guide the development and implementation of all its education programs and resources with a specific focus on inspiring civic learning and action. Additionally, all education programs and resources are developed to be equitably accessible and meet state academic standards.
Whether at the Museum, in the classroom, in the community or online, we are excited to welcome learners of all ages and backgrounds to engage with our learning opportunities and explore, learn and create with us.
